Celebrating 40 Years of Service to the I/DD Community

This year, Arlington Heritage Group celebrates a milestone that means so much to us: 40 years of service to the I/DD community!

To celebrate, we invited our provider clients and the people they serve to join us on the farm this September for our 40th Anniversary Fall Fest. While the weather wasn’t quite what we had hoped for, the day was filled with joy, fun, and plenty of smiles. Everyone who attended seemed to have a wonderful time, and the day turned out to be everything we hoped it would be.

There was plenty of festive food, including soft pretzels and cotton candy, followed by a lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, and ice cream for dessert. We played bingo and won prizes, sang karaoke, created arts and crafts, and painted pumpkins. Most importantly, the day had a wonderful sense of camaraderie and community.

Arlington Heritage Group President & CEO Connie Callaway welcomed guests to our Fall Fest celebration. Her opening remarks reflected what 40 years of service means to us:

“Over the years, our services have evolved, and our organization has grown, but one thing has remained constant: our commitment to the people we serve. To our clients, our nonprofit partners, agencies, professionals, families, and everyone who has placed their confidence in Arlington Heritage Group, thank you.”

“And most importantly, to the individuals we have the privilege of serving every day, thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives. Our responsibility is not simply to administer resources. It is to help find solutions that allow those resources to support your needs, your opportunities, your independence, and your quality of life.”

And she summed up our 40 years with these words:

“Forty years of service. Forty years of relationships. Forty years of trust. Thank you for believing in Arlington Heritage Group, thank you for entrusting us with your resource solutions, and thank you for being part of our story.”

From One Agency and One Individual to a Nationwide Community

Our story began in 1986, when founder Dr. Thomas R. Tirney established Arlington Heritage Group to help a single agency in one state serve one individual with special needs.

From those humble beginnings, AHG has grown to support more than 100 provider organizations and over 3,500 individuals nationwide.

While our organization has grown, our commitment has remained the same: helping providers create better outcomes for the people they serve.

Today, we do this by providing exempt resource solutions that help safeguard benefits, reduce administrative burdens for agencies, and build long-term financial resources for the I/DD community.

Forty years later, we remain grateful to the providers, individuals, families, professionals, and partners who have trusted Arlington Heritage Group to be part of their journey.

Forty years of service. Forty years of relationships. Forty years of trust.
